The Nancy Floyd Haworth Memorial Breast Cancer Lectureship and Luncheon was established in 1990 Dr. Vaun and Mary Floyd in memory of their daughter Nancy Floyd Haworth. Nancy, who was a married mother of three small children, died at age 42 after a two-year battle with breast cancer. Nancy’s love of hummingbirds inspired the selection of our logo for the foundation. This tiny bird symbolizes the ability to soar to new heights and remain beautiful despite adversity.
The Nancy Floyd Haworth Foundation (NFHF) is an independent, non-profit breast cancer fundraising and educational outreach organization. The money we raise stays right here in New Mexico to support other organizations that provide breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and assistance for patients around the state. Our foundation also sponsors free public education seminars and outreach programs to educate New Mexicans about breast cancer.
By hosting special events and other fundraising efforts, we’ve touched thousands of lives and raised thousands of dollars annually through grants which have totaled up to $50,000 per year.
The purpose of the Nancy Floyd Haworth Foundation is to provide information to the public about breast cancer, risk reduction, screening, current treatment options, drug therapies, wellness programs, research funding and to provide support to breast cancer patients. The funds received are donated to breast cancer related projects in New Mexico.
Help us fight breast cancer by lending your time and talent or making a financial contribution to the NFHF.
